Foxtel Digital Sound channel

[Bernard Bresslaw]

The sound o/p from the Foxtel Dig STB is optical. I know there are the two
SCART connections on the box, but I use both of them for my TV/VCR.

My questions is how do I get Foxtel Digital audio o/p to my HiFi unit? I
now take the sound o/p from the VCR which means that I have to have the
video channel on for digital sound.

You cannot get an optical to (name escapes me) lead. I have tried
everywhere and rang the manufacturers to no avail.

I assume your hifi unit does have any digital inputs (optical or coaxial), however if you read your stu manual the 3.5mm jack on your pace stu does both optical sound out and analogue sound out.
