Hi,
I just bought the Digitech wireless AV sender from Jaycar today. The package didn't come with any instructions so I'm a bit dumbfounded as to how to connect it up to work with foxtel digital. I have foxtel digital on the tv in the lounge room and want to watch foxtel in the bedroom. Does anyone know how to connect the cables from the transmitter to the foxtel digital set top box. Has anyone successfully connected this unit with foxtel digital? If so, can you please advise on how to do it.
Cheers :)

have not used that type, or foxtel digital, but let me try to help.
You need to connect the AV leads from the transmitter to an AVout either on
the foxtel box or something connected to the foxtel box like a video
machine.
Connect the AV leads from the reciever to an AV in on the remote TV

The foxtel digital STB has two scart outputs. One has 6 rca connectors which are going into the video in and out rca connectors of the video recorder. The other scart connection is going into the rca connectors at the back of the tv.
Now, I thought I had to connect the rca connections from the transmitter to the video out rca connectors at the back of the video. However, when I take them out from the video and plug the ones from the transmitter in , i lose the foxtel reception.
I have connected the receiver to the tv in the bedroom to the rca inputs of the tv.
There is a phono connection on the back of the foxtel setup box, can this be used. Other than that, there are no other outputs other than the SCARTS mentioned above.
Just not sure how to connect the transmitter???? I even tried connecting the transmitter to the tv but that didnt work either.
Appreciate any further help you can give me in advance.:)

One of the scart outputs should go to an input on the video machine and the
other to an input on the TV.

Your initial set up should work. I assume that you have tuned your TV to get
the foxtel signal from the second scart - if you were getting it from the
video machine then when you changed the connectors what you will lose the
foxtel reception. If your video machine does not have two sources of output
then you will struggle to play videos on your TV if the video output is
connected to the AV transmitter, unless you get another AV receiver and
connect it to another input on the TV.

That sounds fine

Hi - make sure that the two small rectangular receiver units are placed in front of the Foxtel set top box. I'd put one directly in front of the Foxtel transmitter and the other to one side. The two units are used to transmit signals from your remote - ie if you are in another location away from the set top box. The Digitech instructions do not mention the need to place these little units in front of the set-top box. You will note that each unit has self adhesive strip to mount them, or you could use "blue tac" for something less permanent.
Cheers ...... Nick
