Just wondering if anyone knows how to watch r1 discs on it. i searched the net with no luck.

I drove right across town and picked one up yesterday for $240 at Taylors Lakes G guys (Melb) they had about 12 in stock and were just starting a sale so I may have been able to get a better deal but when Clive P and Disk S were wanting $440 in my local area, I wasn't going to complain!.

Haven't had a chance to give it an an*l probe as yet but it definately reads like it has it all like the Pioneer. Unlike the Pioneer, it comes with subtitle support straight from the box, it also has the added advantage of a DVI output with cable included for upsampling to 1080i. The only thing I noticed on comparison in the Pioneers favour was that the Video DAC on the Pioneer is 12bit as opposed to 10bit on the Samsung, but I don't reckon that will amount to a whole hill'a beans. If anyone is interested, G guys offered a 3yr extended warranty for an extra $15.

Now I got this from a member of another forum which should help those who want region changes:

1. Turn the player on with no CD and wait for 'No Disc' to be displayed.
2.Press 'Repeat', followed by 7, 6, 8, 8, 4 then set the region number or to 9 for region free.
