Is anything in 16:9 on foxtel digital?

I just set up a system for a friend and to my horror nothing I have seen on
foxtel digital is in widescreen. Is this right? I just cant believe it. Even
the Sopranos, which is made 16:9 was in 4:3.

Sports are w/s if they are sourced in w/s. Last season's English premier league was not in w/s, whlist this season's is.

Not all channels are in w/s, but then again, they didn't say they were! Their web site and guide clearly show those that are, and those that are not!

BTW, not all Sopranos is in w/s. Early shows were in 4:3.

No, all episodes of the Sopranos, including the very first, have been
widescreen.

already did that.

also searched the foxtel guide online and there is next to nothing in
widescreen on the channels i watch..espn...etc espn sportscenter has
continuous promos for widescreen and its in 4:3. Just what is the point of
foxtel digital? as far as i can tell its just movies on demand and thats it.

Check out their site! It's not too hard. Showtime, Movie One, UKTV, FoxSports 1&2, Fox Footy, W off the the top of my head.

ESPN is not broadcast in 16:9 here, more's the pity.
