Foxtel digital compression is a joke

Foxtel Digital is a disgrace. I have a 142cm television and the compression
that foxtel are applying to their so called standard definition service is
pathetic.

The cricket on channel 9 was disgusting.

yes it was bad, i couldnt believe the bad digital compression, truly a
disgrace. i sold my FTA digital box cos i assumed fox digital was the same.
lesson learnt.

Foxtel is good. What is not good is ch9 digital. Thought it was my
humax box but with so many complaining maybe its the way they are
doing it at 9. Ch 2/7/10 come out good.

Could also be nothing to dop with nine. If there is bad weather about
like there was in Brisbane then this will be the cause of the
problems.

Yes, the compression is noticeable. In fact I reckon it is more disturbing
than the standard random noise on analog systems. I wonder if the problem
is there simply is not enough bandwidth either in the satelite link or the
STU by design?

Foxtel's 7 & 10 are crap.
Any news when they are going to provide digital to foxtel with widescreen
and program guide?

The ABC is joining Foxtel Digital next year.
7 & 10 havent given any indication when they will or if they will ever join
Foxtels Digital service.
They are mad if they dont, think about it everyone else has joined.
