Ok, after a year of having my E100 i finally get the point of the RAM discs,
they are used as a kind of extension of the hard drive, and can be burnt
onto the hard drive from the same unit, which is why they are different from
RW. yes?

now, i saw 4.7gb discs and 5.2gb discs, i can use both of these ok? what
about the 9.4gb disc, can it be used safely in my machine? having that much
extra space is great, especially as it burns to the hard drive at high
speed, its better than hooking up a dvd player to burn to the hard drive at
real time.

Have a look at Page 67 of your Manual under Specifications.

You cannot use 5.2gb disks but can use 9.4gb double sided disks.

5.2gb are double sided 2.6GB discs from a dawn when DVD-Ram was in its
infancy and long before anyone thought of a home DVD Recorder!

2.6GB & 4.7GB are single sided
2.5GB & 9.4GB are double sided!
