Thanks for that...another site bookmarked....i don't think the new numbers
are in circulation yet. that's why it seemed strange to me.

0448 and 0449 are not in circulation yet.
90% of the current available numbers on Telstra are the remaining 0437
stock.

Basically telstra has numbers with the 4th number 7 8 9 0
Optus has 1 2 3
Vodafone has 4 5 6
Orange has 0425
Dont know about 3

The 0 is only for 0400, which was OneTel

For GSM Telstra have 0400, 0407/8/9, 0417/8/9, 0427/8/9 (CDMA), 0437/8/9,
and 0448/9

They are allocated to Telstra, see the ACA web site.
The actual release of numbers will occur when needed

Rubbish. The Subject field is "which telco will HAVE which numbers" implying
future use, actually
