This is mainly for my own benefit should I forget and have to search
the newsgroups. :-)
I couldn't find this info on the Telstra site or in past discussion in
newsgroups (using Google). I am visiting the US and needed to
retrieve messages from my mobile's MsgBank.
I rang the Telstra International help desk at +61 439 125 109 and the
operator said that I would receive a message to call 101 and I should
reply with a blank message. Then my phone would ring and I could
listen to my messages. I asked if I needed to dial the international
prefix + or 011 and she said no, just dial 101.
Either I misunderstood the above or was given the wrong info, so I
called again and spoke to a different operator, who clarified as
follows:
* I send a blank SMS to 101.
* My phone will ring and play back my messages.
Easier than I thought!

Ta, thats useful. Given high US roaming rates though, its worth
mentioning the alternative of diverting your calls to Telstra's
paging service instead of voicemail. Then a real live operator
will take the message, and sms it to you.

That's pretty snappy.
Previously you had to divert all calls to voice mail; then call your own
mobile number with the +61 prefix, enter # and your pin code followed by
another #.
Must have upgraded. Thanks for posting!

Has it been documented anywhere on the Telstra website? Not saying it hasn;t
just wondering where it is.

What a resounding stupid statement for you to make.
MessageBank Roaming requires International Roaming.
As there is no Introam for CDMA, there is no MessageBank Roaming.
Its as stupid as you saying "Telstra GSM does not work in Hcghdvcgdsdsh in
Melbourne", given that the suburb doesnt exist
