I am currently using a Nokia 6100 and is thinking switching to either
the V535 or V620. Having always been a Nokia user, I wanted to try a
flip-top (clamshell) mobile.
Any reviews / comments on these two mobiles?

Nokia have just released a clam shell model with Symbian o/s. The 6600
(may be wrong model here). Have a look at their web page.

I got the V620 on Wednesday, I am very happy with it so far. Good looking
phone with nice features. At least I can hear it ring and see the screen.
Coming from a SonyEricson T610.

How is the phone book management? I tried a V600 (coming from a Nokia
6310i) and found the phone book set up really arkward. I have over 400
contacts to look at.
Also predictive text input not as good as Nokia (or Ericson) IMO.
Any thoughts here at all?

I do still prefer the Nokia way of doing things, but I have no where near as
many contacts as you so for me it is manageable. There are quite a number of
options in the phonebook management menu tho and I havent really explored it
thoroughly yet. I thought the Itap method for predictive text was good, so
far i haven't stumped it on many words. Town names like Melbourne worked
straight up, Not so on both Nokia's and Sony's I have recently owned.
As I have said, Only had it for 3 days really but it seems like a very nice
phone, it looks great with the black cover. I have a workmate with a V600
and he said it had a lot of improvements over that model, for what its
worth. Cheers, The Pointman.

I just got a motorolla v3 the other week and coming from an older nokia i
was very impressed. i actually find the predictive text better than the
nokia. it has all the most common names, moves most common used words to
the top of the list, etc. one downside i've found is that its a bit tricky
to enter words that aren't in the dictionary at all.
Suprisingly, i love the operating system and once its configured to your
liking everything is easy to get to.
