Ahhh, Popcorn was an abomination. I recall the ABC test pattern days with
it. Remember test patterns.........?

Multiple live recordings. My favorite is from the 1970 Berkeley
concert.

Got it already. Yep, have heard it before but couldn't recall it. The
version I have is the "Filmore" recording.

Roy Buchanan's The Messiah Will Come Again

He was voted the greatest unknown guitarist by Time and jammed with members
of Pink Floyd at the Corner while they all were in Melbourne. Also knocked
back a position in the Rolling Stones and said "their repertoire would be to
hard to learn".

Sweet Child 'O Mine was recently voted the best guitar riff ever by Rolling
Stone magazine.

Let's Go Crazy (Prince) has a pretty good solo IMHO.
Eruption (Van Halen) would have to be right up there.

I'm surprised ... but pleased. The song is one of my favourites.

Off on a bit of a tangent ... but did you hear the version of Louis
Armstrong's 'What a Wonderful Day' at the end of Bowling for
Columbine, performed up tempo by Joey Ramone? Excellent.

I've not seen him in concert, but my wife and I met him in the lift
at our hotel in Tokyo, late at night after the last concert of the
tour, and shared a few beers with him and entourage in the bar (he
was just drinking a soda).

Of note that in Japan, no 'minders' were necessary.

Agree ... but my favourite version of that song is by Vanessa Mae,
the Singaporean violinist.

Sorry, haven't heard it. Unlikely to ever watch a Michael Moore film.

Fretted Instruments in Melbourne (Brunswick St) has a double neck Epiphone
SG in the window with a "No Stairway" sign on it... (ie, Wayne's World)
