It's also largely absent on Triple J now the Morning Show has been revamped.

Please elaborate on what you mean by this.

The old morning show tended to talk a lot about dope smoking whales saving
forests, and similar topics. Which collectively many would see as being
"left wing". While these topics didn't have any other nationally broadcast
forum (and so fits the "complementary" part of the ABC charter nicely),
there were a lot of people that didn't listen to the station because of a
perception that the whole day was like that. I think this effect was felt
most strongly in rural areas (it certainly was here).
I think Hack (it's effective replacement), covers a broader range of topics
from a broader range of viewpoints (while still being left of centre). It
also expresses ideas better, and uses less time to do so.

yes forest and whales are evil, they should all be burnt down and
slaughtered, in that order, how do you burn a whale, you can't, it's all
wet.

Oh I see

they use less time because the DJ's are spending more time smoking dope
these days.
