Speaking as someone who's just recently returned from the US, we really
shouldn't take our radio spectrum for granted here in Australia. From
Minnesota to Los Angeles, US radio is bland, bland, bland. Endless
classic rock (AC/DC are making a fortune), country, Urban/hip-hop,
right-wing and/or religious talk and sport. If you're lucky you'll get
an NPR affiliate and *one*, count 'em, *one* independent. Out of
fifty-odd stations on the dial. And they'll be only as good as JJJ on a
bad day, forget anything the calibre of FBi.
Actual station promo: "Drive105 is *not* owned or operated by Clear
Channel Communications".
Cheers, Robert.
