THE ROCKS MARKETS BY MOONLIGHT
From: Friday 05 November, 2004
To: Friday 26 November, 2004

Hot music, cold beer, great food, night markets and some of Australia's
best musical talent is what you can expect when The Rocks Markets by
Moonlight returns each Friday night in November.

From 6pm on Fridays 5, 12, 19 and 26 November, The Rocks Markets by
Moonlight offers the quintessential night out in Sydney that everyone should
experience - warm November nights under a starlit sky, sharing a beer and
delicious food with friends while enjoying live music and roaming the night
markets.

At the northern end of George Street you can browse through more than
40 stalls from The Rocks Weekend Market offering a wide range of funky,
native, gourmet, novelty and hand-made goods - a great opportunity for some
early Christmas shopping! There's also a range of stalls offering a
selection of local and international food.

More than a market, it's one big outdoor party with an open-air bar
sponsored by Tooheys New and stage, featuring headline Australian acts
performing for FREE.

The show was so good I nearly passed out - even better than last years.
They are no less than your hendrixes, floyd, doors & whatever..

Right here in australia we have a band that IMO exceeds most intl acts in
many ways and they outlasted nearly everyone. 2 hours of great music for
$30 !

I saw Steve and Marty play an acoustic duo show at Newcastle Uni one
night... it was nothing short of life altering (I decided then and
there that I *had* to buy a twelve-string acoustic guitar and did so
less than a week later)! Those guys are amazing and SO underrated!

Marty also played with UK outfit 'all about eve' - also jangling guitar
style with GREAT vocals from julianne reagan. Check them out too.

Geez, I remember All About Eve.

I remember that they ended up with the goth tag. Any idea why? Their music
was totally un-goth (at the time, goth was the quasi doom metal of the
Sisters of Mercy and Rosetta Stone).
