FWIW to anyone looking for a cheap tuner card for the PC in Melb,
Scorptec have these ones for only $75 ATM.

I'm not associated with Scorptec, but purchased one myself today and so
far so good ;) Thought someone might appreciate the heads up, it's about
half price.

Cheers

While on the subject, does anyone know of some good PVR software that works
with this card? The supplied software is so unstable it's almost unusable, I
would love to be able to use Power VCR or something simillar.

With Linux, you just load the drivers (included in the kernel),
configure for your local stations, and then any PVR/video software will
work.
Windows has 'WDM' drivers, but they don't seem to be well supported.
Does the VisionPlus card have WDM drivers?
I have the Nova-T, and the bundled windoze software was awful.

Their site says $95.

You would think so but appears not for me, doesn't come up as a DirectX
device either. I have 2 other types of capture boards in the same
machine yet in the software associated with those the VP doesn't appear.

However that being said, the software that came with it suits me for my
purposes atm.

Too bad - at $75 they would have made an instant sale from me. :)

I managed to get two @ $75/ea. They wanted to charge me $35 shipping to
Brisbane. Ha! Got em down to $25 which is still pretty outrageous. $15
would be more reasonable for two boxes that size.
