President Bush was visiting a primary school and he visited one of the
classes. They were in the middle of a discussion related to words and
their meanings.

The teacher asked the President if he would like to lead the discussion
on the word "tragedy". So the illustrious leader asked the class for an
example of a "tragedy".

One little boy stood up and offered: "If my best friend, who lives on a
farm, is playing in the field and a tractor runs over him and kills him,
that would be a tragedy."

No," said Bush, "that would be an accident."

A little girl raised her hand: "If a school bus carrying 50 children
drove over a cliff, killing everyone inside, that would be a tragedy."

"I'm afraid not," explained the president. "That's what we would call
great loss."

The room went silent. No other children volunteered. Bush searched the
room.
"Isn't there someone here who can give me an example of a tragedy?"

Finally at the back of the room a small boy raised his hand...

In a quiet voice he said: "If Air Force One carrying you and Mrs.

Bush was struck by a "friendly fire" missile and blown to smithereens,
that would be a tragedy."

"Fantastic!" exclaimed Bush. "That's right. And can you tell me why that
would be tragedy?"

"Well," says the boy, "It has to be a tragedy, because it certainly
wouldn't be a great loss and it probably wouldn't be a f**king accident
either".

Its not nice to bash other peoples leaders fellows. I thought that aussies
were of a litle higher caliber than that. President Bush is not always
right, nobody is, but I think we are doing the right thing.

Go to the top of the class.
Bush is not always right.
And the corollary?
He's not always wrong.

It's the price of his being wrong that's the problem.
In reality, it would be a Good Thing if that price resulted in the
Yankee dollar disappearing up it's own arse.

I'd never have considered that unless you'd mentioned it.
Really.
So thanks for your input, and thanks for playing - the check rewarding
your fine effort is in the mail, no doubt.
Some (also) uncalled-for advice to assist:
Cash it quick - 10% to the church, and the rest on greasy hormone
pumped chicken could be considered a thoroughly yankee investment in
the future. And why not take in a moovie as a special tweat?

What crawled in you guys butts! Why does it matter to you what we do
anyway? We will not let our lives be run by anybody. People attacked us
and nobody helped us as usual so we have to handle it our way

Get a life, it was a joke and a very good one.
If we can't laugh at people like Bush who can we laugh at.

You obviously don't understand the sense of humour inherent in a nation
that memorialises a Prime Minister who died whilst swimming with a
swimming-pool named in his honour.

We'll name an internment camp for immigrants the 'John W Howard
Processing Facility' one day soon enough.

I also have it from an unimpeachable source that right now the Howard
Memorial Trust to fund and administer scholarships for children of
unticketed immigrants is being finalised by a private legal firm.
