Here's what I said
" Hmmmm, I'd be more inclined to think that if a company wants to put
its badge on something that someone else has built then it should
ensure that the product comes up to their on standards.
Kleenmaid appliances are a perfect example.
They source from all over the world to get they very best to put
their
name to."
No mention of Magnas, we were talking about Holdens.
The Kleenmaid aren't as reliable as Miele, not as expensive either.

Really depends on what you want.
Miele is like a luxury limo, you just don't know that its running and
there are more bells and whistles to have minor problems with wheras
Simpson etc is more like a Holden pov pack, reliable because it hasn't
got all the toys, and noisy.

Kleenmaid ain't what it used to be.
The Speedqueen machines they bring in these days are a cut-down version of
the true "commercial quality" washers sold in the States under the
"Speedqueen" lable.
You can get the genuine article from Alliance Laundry Distributors in Sydney
(for less thank a Kleenmaid) - or just go to Hardly Normal and buy a Maytag.

Suck eggs, Eurotech trash lover, my Simpson washing machine is 12 years old

Beats having to repair them 6% or 8% of every time you use them.

A wall-oven and cooktop.
We were off to buy a cheapie Whirlpool package that was advertised at
Retravision when the Missus said that she'd heard there was a Kleenmaid
"warehouse sale" on in The Valley (Brisbane) but she couldn't remember
where.
I figured that I'd drive down two or three of the most likely streets and
bingo; we stumbled across it.
All the stuff had huge marked-down discounts but when we combined the oven
and hotplates we wanted they were still $1350 so I turned to walk out when
the salesman said "how far do we have to come down to make a sale.....?"
Fuck me; the ticket prices totalled over $1800 so how much friggin' mark-up
is on this stuff?!!!?
