I notice that channel are broadcasting the cricket on two digital channels
and one of these is showing a split screen option with highlights. Is there
anyway I can take control of the digital features with my remote control to
do things like change camera angle, block out the commentators or bring up
stats?

Only if you have a Teac ITVD500 STB (that is the ONLY box compat with Nines
Sports Active... stupid, isn't it!).

Then the state of digital transmission is much worse than i thought. Surely
there should be some regulation wihch requires all broadcasters to be
compatible with the same standards.

For the record I have a Sony Triniton with inbuilt digital.

Well, someone has to pioneer it I guess. There is a few interactive
standards and sub-standards out there for DVB, I think everyone else is
letting the standards bodies fight it out so they can go with the one that
most STBs will support..
