Who honours it when they are no longer in existance?

I'd like to see Holden offer that. They'd end up with a backlog of warranty
claims stretching to China.

If they only sold 5 cars a month like mitsushiti, it wouldn't matter either
way.

Are Mitsubishi really that dumb, doesn't matter how long the warranty it
doesn't change the Magna's main problem, ie its fugly.
Nothing wrong with the Magna except it looks, fix that and they will go
a long way to getting out of the deep shit they are in now.

Already do - many Holden dealers throw in two or three years extra warranty.
Sure a few aren't worth the paper they're printed on but most offer
reasonable benefits as long as you keep up the servicing on the car.
Do you ever get tired of being wrong all the time?

I don't think that's going to fool the public who are seriously concerned
about the viability of this company.
As one person who has a say in the selection of fleet vehicles, I didn't
even consider Mitsubishi in my selection. I know I'm not an island in that
regard.

Dealer warranties aren't worth anything period. Holden would never increase
their warranty period because they know they quality is lagging and it would
cost them in the end. They have enough problems with their Gen III and
whining gearboxes to consider a 10 year drivetrain warranty like Mitsubishi.

Probably the same people that responded to the survey think the commodore is
a quality product. Go figure.

It's not "factory warranty" and yes, as you say, isn't worth the paper
it's written on and expensive to keep valid as it requires a factory
service every 6 months within a week of it falling due.

Can't see it making one blink of difference to fleet buyers, as most
onsell the cars at 3 years anyway.
I guess though that having another 2 years of warranty at that time
would be a selling point...the powertrain warranty is not
transferable.
