persoanlly i find taking pics in black and white better for people as its not so harsh the quailty is generally better also i dont end up looking yellow when they put the flash on.
but otherwise colour for me please as i like the richness that colour can provid3e etc.


what so you think or prefer?

I prefer black and white myself. When I used to model I couldn't stand looking at photos of myself in colour. The colour can change the mood of the photo and give people a different meaning to what you're trying to portray. I don't mind it for landscapes but when it comes to photos with humans I prefer black and white. I also like to make my black and white photos grainy. :)

For films, technically the black and white films are more dynamic in brightness than the colour films. That is, it can reproduce more lighter area together with black area. For a high contrast scene, the colour film will either over exposure or under exposure. Unfortunately even the black and white film can not reproduce the same dynamic contrast that the human eyes can see.

i like both but some color photo's look better in b/w. i have three b/w photo's on the wall and they just wouldnt look the same in color

Depends on the application. I prefer colour for young people and black & white for the not-so-young.

I prefer black and white.
Black and white images hold more beauty.
