Do you still need the broadband adaptor with this new chip?

No the BBA isnt required at all. Once the chip is installed and flashed, its just a single swap and goes will boot fine. Biggest problem is mini dvd-r isnt that compatible, unless you find a specific brand that works well with your machine. Cheap or just no good brands may work fine with some games, but have problems with others. Full sized/normal DVD-R doesnt have these problems at all. Generally cheap and expensive brands perform the same, that is they work with no problem.

to us rhe ful size disks you will have to take the case off, until the mushroom cases come out. You can stream the games through the bba but the disk swap is the easiest option.

Is there anyone in sydney installing these chips for GC?
If the mini dvd-r's dont work, then how is it possible to play the backed up games on the GC?

How do you back up the games?

You need to use the BBA and PSO to backup your own original games. Its a little slow and much faster and easier just to download the games already released from the internet.

I know that BBA stands for BroadBand Adapter, what it is I don't know. PSO, no idea.
Is there somewhere I can read up on this, as my understanding has been that you can't backup your discs, or anything with Gamecube, so I've got no idea. I hate not being able to backup my software, especially where kids are concerned, and rough handling. Software is damned expensive to be ruined my mishandlement. (I know that's not a real word, but it fits so nicely :PI )
