Hi guys as ive mentioned before in this ng I have an Infocus 4805 and have
been projecting it onto a feather white (off-white) wall for the last 2
months at around 120". The image looks excellent to me at night, the colours
are vivid, the brightness is perfect and all in all im quiet happy with the
wall.

I have now purchased a 1.0 gain 120" fixed screen but it hasnt arrived yet.

I was just wondering if there will be a day and night difference between the
2. What sort of gain would a plaster wall this colour have. Also will the
image be much sharper than the wall.

Sorry if my questions are a little silly but ive never had a projector or
screen. I know there would be a difference but how significant would it be.

Thanks

Michael,

The screen will be brighter than the wall. How much depends on how much
texture there is on the wall (scattering the light in other directions)
- probably about 10-50% brighter.
