have a vp and i have had the head's pressure tested and machine.also had the
radiator cleaned and new thermostat put in and the fan gets to half way and
kicks in and drops it down only one bar then it heat's up again in 5 second
so the fan turn's on again.driving on the freeway the temp still does not go
down.can anybody help with a solution please.

I had that on my sister's van. All the fins were worn off the water pump so
all that was left was a disk that spun in the water doing fuck all. What
ever happened to the cast fins? :-)

Solution to what? Half way on the guage is normal.

If you don't think it is normal replace the thermostat.
