Has anyone had any experiences good or bad with Budget Direct Car Insurance?
They are a fair bit cheaper than the rest, but does cheap equal substandard?

Yeah, at 33 years of age and rating 1 I was told I was too young to be
insured with them.

Yep, told me they wouldn't insure my car because it had "factory
alloys fitted that were not standard equipment for that particular
vehicle"

I welcome you to crackerbox palace,We've been expecting you.
they were ok but then put alloy wheels and new cd player they would not
insure anymore.

I seem to remember checking them out online at the beginning of the year and
they were still more expensive for my vehicle than AAMI - I've got to re-insure
next month so I might check them out again.....

They wouldn't take me on coz the car has some mods.
"Does the car have any modifications?"
"Yes"
"I'm sorry we can't insure you." The hang-up took all of half a second.

wouldnt you go for "cash back insurance" which pays back the lowest
premium paid after four full years of insurance with no claim.. because its
the same policy ,same company, same price, same underwriter and conditions
but for that deal ...

I am with them, no problems, and I save $500 a year on my SSS on the
cheapest price from the big companies.
Of course I have not actually put in a claim. That goes with being on
the highest "No Claim bonus"
So to summarise, the part where they quote a price and take your money
is as good as the best I have been with.
