Hi all, I have an infocus 4805 and a 96 " screen and IM USING MY Pioneer 344
dvd player thru component and Id really like to know if the following dvd
player will make much of a difference. Any advice appreciated. Thanks in
advance Shaun

It all depends on how good the scaler is.
Like the saying goes - "Oils ain't oils, Sol".
Scalers are the same - there are good and bad, very bad, and some that are
excellent. But you will also pay top dollar, probably $3K+ for the
excellent ones.

Hi Shaun,
The Infocus 4805 is only low resolution (854 x 480) to start with, so
upscaling a DVD image, and then downscaling it again to fit the native
resolution of your projector can only add artifacts. I reckon you're
better off sticking with the Pioneer 344.

player is
offerring, 4805 has a native resolution of 850x480 will display 720 p
material
in a compress format.
