Can anyone help me?
I have just put Windows 2000 and SP4 with IE6 and SP1 on an P233 MMX TXPro II PC with an m571 version 3.2 Pc Chips motherboard.
It works great except that after some reboots usually after the power has been removed Windows says it has, "Found new hardware" but this is hardware it has found and installed before!
The hardware that keeps on being re-detected is IDE related Primary Channel, Secondary Channel etc. I have scoured the Web for a specific Sis 5597/98 IDE driver for Win2k but cannot find one and am beginning to doubt that one exists.
Maybe I am wrong and the problem is not a driver one.
Is there anyone out there who knows the answer please?
