I am looking at getting the motorola e398 on a b-digital $22 plan on a 24 month contract. This seems the cheapest way to get this phone.
So can anyone recommend B-digital?
Cheers.
They are okay except for their high call rate.. Never had any problems with
billing errors from them but you have to have direct debit. Last phones we
got from them on plans we ended up avoiding using them and used Isim for
cheaper sms and calls. If the phones are locked you can still use Isim,
Virgin and Optus sims so you would be better off getting the phone but using
a cheaper deal optus or optus reseller sim from elsewhere. They charge you
if you port your number away, even if your contract is over, around $59 I
think it was. When our plans expired we went on a cheaper capped plan with
them with no monthly fee which wasn't too bad a deal, 15c sms and 50c per
minute for calls, but we have since got new phones with three. Their porting
fee even after finishing your plan and the high call rates for 24 months in
comparison to other plans around didn't sit well with me so I'm not sure I
would go back to them again.
If you just want the phone at a cheaper rate to purchase over 24 months and
don't use their sim card then it's a good way to get the phone cheaper.

Good point Lee.
Seems a bit high to me, though - it's $11 according to the website

They must have changed it as it was higher before. Still you shouldn't have
to pay anything considering their high call rates and sms compared to other
providers.
