"· for Telstra customers travelling in the affected countries who used a
Telstra mobile to call relatives in Australia to advise them of their
circumstances, Telstra will rebate the charges of calls made on their Telstra
mobile from 12noon AEDT on Sunday December 26 until midnight on Thursday
December 30;

· for Telstra customers in Australia using fixed or mobile phones to check on
the well-being of immediate family members either travelling in or resident
in one of the affected countries, such call charges will be rebated for the
same period; and...."

"Customers contacting immediate family members travelling or living in the
affected countries will have their call charges from Boxing Day 2004 to 31
December 2004 rebated.

Optus will also rebate the cost of mobile phone calls made by Optus consumer
customers travelling in the affected countries who used their mobile to call
relatives in Australia. This rebate will be valid for calls made between
midday (AEDT) on 26 December until midday on 31 December 2004."

Try explaining how their 'corporate greed' led to Telstra donating over
$1million, Optus over $150K and all mobile telco's banding together to
provide the ability for users to send SMS donations?

Optus $150K? They would have made that in profits from 5 minutes of SMS's on
New Year's Eve. How much did Ziggy personally contribute?
