You might already know about it, but if not, your website gets a mention
in this months Street Machine magazine, it's in the "click & drag" section
on page 13.

It says...

This site is not for the faint hearted, though there's no gore. Compiled
by a police officer who has seen more than he would like to, maybe it's a
site that everybody with a motor vehicle could learn something from.

This site should be shown to ALL Learner drivers, school students etc..
preparing for their licence. For that matter, anyone really. Its a wakeup
call to those who think they are indestructible.
I travel for ALOT for work and I am always on high alert. Some of the things
people do!!!
It just blows you away. I travel up the north coast of nsw, one of the worst
roads in australia....the pacific hwy.
So may close calls. It can be a terrifying drive. A good example was 2 days
ago. Coming home from Coffs harbour. It just rained constantly all day.
Water across the road in patches. People driving at well over the 100k
limit.......cars, semi's ..with near to zero visibility.
It just amazes me what some people are thinking when they set off on the
car.
Have alot of issues with "P" platers who somehow get there hands on a high
performance import or similar and just go flat stick.......everywhere.
Young guy up the road with green "P's" can't go around our corner at
anything less than 60km/h............sideways!!!
Needless to say, I had to report him...and he was warned when police were
waiting at his house one day. Not fined, because he was warned by his
parents and actually drove properly that day.
Anyway, I have sent the link to many of my friends, some good drivers, some
idiots, with the hope it helps them or they can send it to someone and
hopefully save a life.
Take care
Doc

Reminds me of a guy who used to fly down my parents street, then do a
burnout Uturn at th T intersection to get back to his house, every day
around 4.00pm, you could just about set your watch by the sound, one day he
get's halfway through his sideways bit and finds him self looking at a
parked cop car in the side street, probablty wondering why so many
neighbours were smiling while out hosing their gardens that afternoon.

Thanks for that. Yeh, I've had many emails already about it from
Street Machine subscribers. Gee's, the site is that old now, I really
should update it with recent crashes.

it's not that they think they are indestructible, it's that they don't
believe it will happen to them.

i agree that it's useful to show people the real consequences of a
crash, quite different from how they are portrayed on TV where mel
gibson walks away from a 100 kmh multiple rollover with a sore leg and
smoke still hanging from his lips, but there remains the issue of
convincing people they can become victim to such outcomes.

Must be running 3 or 4, I'm running 6 and didn't have any problems with 5
either. Mines up to date with the upgrades on a weekly basis.

For some reason Spooky insists on using enormous image files and letting
your browser shrink them to fit your screen, making for very very slow
downloads on dialup. Was this perhaps your problem?
