Hi Folks
Has anyone else noticed a drop in SBS digital signal strength in
Brisbane in the last few days? I have a Teac DVB300 set top box and have
always had flawless SBS digital reception for the last 18 months or so I
have owned it. Over the last few days when selecting any of the SBS
digital channels there is a "No Signal" warning. This afternoon I reset
the set top box and had it retune all the channels and now the box has
not detected any of the SBS digital channels.
I thought perhaps the UHF section of my aerial may have failed but when
selecting analogue SBS the picture is still the same reasonable SBS
picture that I have always received.
Anyone else had the same problem?
Cheers John

Yes, but for me SBS signal strength has been hopeless for about the last
3 months. For 18 months before that, it was fine.

Yes, I've been having this problem too this weekend. No signal in the evenings and nothing receivable during the day. I called SBS Saturday mid-day and they said they knew nothing about it and would notify their technicians -- but of course that was head office in NSW.

After exactly a week of no viable reception my SBS is back to normal tonight. I really do wonder what the cause was -- I'm going to email SBS with my experience and see if maybe they might take a couple of suggestions for helping keep viewers informed to heart.

If you find out how to email SBS let me know. They do not reveal any
technical contact address anywhere.
