Hi all,
Just wanting to know if anyone has had any problems with their Thomson
STB's in relation to Channel 7. I have tried 'rebooting' and deleting,
but it seems that channel 7 cannot be corrected. It's like I have
hundreds of channel 7 channels. Last week during the tennis, all I
could recieve WAS channel 7 now its the only one that I can't.
Signal strength is strong - around 85% and thats better than my
channel 10 which is at 65%.
Any help would be appreciated.
My email is ghostface1313@hotmail.com
Thanks
BTW the model number is DTI500AU
I purchased 2 Thomson DTI500AU units, they worked great for the first
couple of weeks but then they both failed, I had endless channel 9's
and none of them worked, the units would lock up while in the channel
9 continuance forcing me to pull the plug out of the wall the shut
them down. They ran extremely hot even in standby, I threw one unit in
the bin weeks ago and the other is in the bin now as I type this
reply, it will be gone in the morning by the time I wake up. All I can
think for you to do is see if you can exchange the unit for another.
We have a Lennox STB500 and a Topfield 5000PVRt now days.
Cheers

You can add legend STB's to the rubbish as well.
All the channels have gone. Have defaulted to factory defaults and
then re scanned. Makes no difference the unit is dead.
I now have to pay $30 for freight to send it to SA to get it fixed and
another $30 to send it back to me for a total of $60. Considering it
was only $100 I doubt if its worth sending back because nothing from
stopping it happen again.
I reckon they ought to foot the bill for freight both ways.
I have had a humax bought a year ago and its not missed a beat. Bought
the Legend for the kids play room. Wish I paid another $100 to get
another Humax now.

You could try the Post Office. I had a 5kg garage door opener with a
3kg lead weight posted to me interstate at a cost of $11. All this was
in a huge box. Why a courier?
