I started with erasing and formatting my C drive. Installed XP, Motherboard
divers(Chipset, LAN, Hardware Monitor), DirectX 9c and then Video-board
drivers before installing SP2. After it was finished installing, I rebooted
but it would lock up at the Windows XP Pro black splash screen with the
sliding blue status bar stopping. I hit the reset button, was prompted to
choose Safe Mode(s), Last known good configuration, or Start Windows
Normally. Would not boot into XP regardless of what I chose. Wouldn't
actually go into Safe Mode(s) at all, just flashed a bunch of file names on
the monitor and just stopped cold. Last good config and Start Normally got
the same results of locking up at the Windows XP Pro black splash screen.

Any real help out there? Please do not respond unless you think you can help
me. I don't need responses telling me you're having the same problems.

Thank you.

Your computer stops responding when you restart to complete the installation of
Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005
