Buying a lamp for a projector

I am after a lamp for my BenQ 6100 projector.
Where in Australia is the best/cheapest place to buy?
I am happy to purchase online, I am located in Perth.

Call BenQ customer service on 1300 130 336. They will be able to either
supply or point you towards a local source. AFAIK you should not need to
pay much more than $600 for a genuine replacement lamp which you can DIY
instal.

I can't even buy them wholesale for that.

Projector lamps run cooler and last much longer if the projector is properly
cleaned & serviced especially when a new lamp is due!

Find a local service agent & ask about the total price.

I've got the BenQ PB6200 (similar to PB6100 only higher native resolution).
Before I purchased the projector, I checked around on replacement lamp costs
and did find an Australian outlet selling them for about $600. If I can
relocate which supplier it was I'll be happy to post details back here. And
yes, they were cheaper than from BenQ direct.

US supplier, but at an exchange rate of about AU$0.80 = US$1.00 the price is
less than AU$550.00. Add about $20 for sending via US Air Postal Service
and it should be here within the week.

And another US supplier even cheaper still at about AU$460 -

BTW: Avoid using courier companies such as DHL, FedX etc as Australian

Might think about buying one for the US since they are substancially
cheaper.
