Does anyone know if

a) Momitsu DVD-V880/880N DVD player can be purchased in Perth, WA?

Don't know about the Momitsu, however I picked up a Samsung Hd 747 from HN
Morley for $249 last week.

He can also modify the output cards on the Momitsu to produce a
cleaner output.

Take a look at the website, and specifically the BNC mods Aaron does
to HTPC Video cards. He does similar mods to the output of the Momitsu
too. I have a video card modifed by Aaron in my HTPC and can attest to
the difference his mod makes to the image. Basically, all he does is
bypass the lowpass filters on the output so that high frequencies are
not attenuated. Simple mod, big difference. If you want more info,
give Aaron a call.
