Can anyone on NG post what the have for ecomomy figures, real world driving
not manufacturers bullshit figures.

I drive a Hiace and its gotta be among the worst for fuel consumption.
Looking at a change and real world figures are a pretty good estimate Id
say.

Hiace gets 14.1 to 17.2 litres per 100kms travelled real driving with load
in back. 2150kgs total road weight.

My 97 Mazda E2000 auto gets around 360 k's to a tank, not stop start driving
though, dunno what that works out to in litre per 100 k's

How big is the tank? Take total kms and divide by litres/100. Ie if you
have used 65 litres (you can tell if you fill right up go emptyish and then
refillt o same level.) for your 360kms thats (65/360) x 100= 0.1805 x 100 =
18.05 litres per 100kms. Thats crappy economy if your useing 64 litres for
that many kms as well!

My diesel LWB Hiace gives me 10l/100km or better around town. My old petrol
Hiace gave me around 15-18l/100km.

The petrol one was faster off the mark.

If you want economy, go for the diesel. Far better bet than petrol. Lets
face it, vans aren't exactly streamlined to give a low CoD. They're built to
take the maximum size load they can.
