Already a few hospitals in Brisbane, are banning parents from bringing
cameras into the maternity wards. This has been done for commercial
reasons, as the stop the parents taking photos of the new childrens, BUT
then they have set up commercial photographic businesses with in the
hospital to take and sell photos of the new kids with their parents.

That is what I call a monopoly... (they call it "The little Miricales
company".)

I wonder just how legal the contracts would be with some women who are
on medications and pain relief and some fathers "under the weather"...

I even had the "thought police" (this time a section of business
registration in Qld) tell me if I was going to set up a darkroom under
my house then I would have to go through to some sections of the
Government enviromental depts and have inspections to approve it.... and
then pay extra fees... So called, for handeling the waste chemicals...

I said no thanks I am now all digital... that spoilt their day... But
you can be assured they are thinking of ways to come up with a fee or
charge on that...

What next...

I can see it now, hubby smuggles in a camera, snaps a few piccies of his wife
and new born child, the hospital catches him in the act and throws the mother
and child out onto the street. ;-)

I would take the camera in & take the photo. If anyone so much as looked
sideways at me i would just tell them that if they stop me then i will take
action against them for stress...harassement...photo sadness... what ever.

They are all so used to talking like this & when you do it back to
them...they go to water.

Take a gun to the knife fight.
