How is TDK for compatability on DVD players ?

I would burn all my DVDS 2X anyway to insure they DVD has all the
chance in the world to work. But why do some DVDS refuse to work on
some DVD players. Are they made the same all of them ?

Thanks.

/Ps i just ask as iam running low on blanks and need a new 50 Spindle
soon :0

you probably bought the blue tdk discs. the white top ones at JB are $37 for
8x and the blue ones are $52 for 50 8x.

If you own a panny recorder they are quite ordinary.
The sub $40 / 50 are shockers. The better made tdk ones which are over
$50 per 50 will work in most things. Pay the extra $15 to $20 for the
more expensive tdk blanks.

I can tell you they are a joke in the panny recorders where they fail
more often than they burn. The better tdk ones which are over $50 / 50
are less likely to fail.

These discs burn quite well. I have burn with heaps of these at 12x and not
one coaster to date. Don't be concerned with limiting the burn rate to 2x.
In my experience burning 2x is a good strategy when burning with crap
quality media like Lazer.

And yet the Blue and White ones are exactly the same media. Makes far more
sense to buy the white ones.

When you refer to the 'beter made tdk' are you refering to the ones with a
blue media colour? I have put the cheapies and the blue ones through a media
identification program. According to the program, both types are identical.

Not according to the so called experts of this group who seem to think these
blanks are made by some fake mob who just put TDK on the label and of course
TDK Australia do nothing about it while they sell in stores everywhere!

As you have found out they're perfectly ok!
