How do i get Nero to allow me to burn VOBS at 2X ??
It only lets me minium 4X ?
Ive even tried nero Express and it only lets me burn at a minium of 4x
as well. I know its alittle thing but i realy like burning my DVDs at
2X times.
/ps i have Nero 6.6.
Use 2X DVDs, if you can find them.

If the DVD can handle four times then let it do it - they are designed
for the speed they are rated at. Burning slower is only paranoia.

I have a 4x burner using 4x media, yet it still only burns at 2x
- no other choices its locked at 2x, yet the same media on
another newer burner gives choices of 4x 2x and 1x - time
for me to buy a new burner ;)

Its a Pinoneer 109 latest bios 1.17. It can burn 16x i belive so i
think it can burn 4 times with ease.
The thing is i want to burn for compatability. And 2X is what i would
Prefere.
But shit happens.

Paranoia is probably a bit over the top.
I have a Pioneer 106D burner capable of burning at 4X with 4X discs
of course.
I burn everything at 1X because my LG player (3000P) skips when I try
anything else.
XBOX games do not like to be burnt too fast either (2X).
It has been like this since day 1 for me since I got the burner.
LG 3000P is supposedly not capable of even reading DVDR according to
sites I have been to.
I use Princo discs as others I have tried (Laser and Ricoh) do not
pick up in my player.
My point is some of us need to burn slowly for whatever reason, so in
some cases it isn't paranoia.

I think ill try NTI burning software and see if that supports lower
burning speeds. Shame i did like Nero.

G'day All, I don't know if this will help but it's on the nero America site
http://www.nero.com/us/Dynamic_Write_Speed.html
Download DynWrSpeed_Off.zip and extract the zipped files onto your hard disk
using WinZip or WinRar.
Run the registry patch contained in the zipped file by double-clicking it.
It modifies Nero so that the speeds supported by the recorder can no longer be
calculated dynamically but is derived from a table in the burner's firmware.
Nero should now, at the latest, display all speeds supported by the burner
provided that there is no recordable CD in the burner.

Try dvddecrypter (free program) this will allow you to save an ISO to

Bit of a long way around but it will work.
