XMS 777 help

Hi there,
I am new to the forum and was after some help. My xms 777 has recently developed a problem playing some disks.We have recently bought a burner and burnt some movies they all play well on the xms777.Today however we put a copied dvd in and all we get on the player display is "root". We can see all the menues on screen etc but it wont let us acess the movie.We then tried putting in a purchased Dvd same message and we cant acess anything else. We have tried turning off etc but nothing seems to work. We cant navigate around any menues or call up anything no matter what type of dvd we use.

I would guess it is still under warranty.
If it can't even play originals, I would suggest it goes back to the store.
