hi, i dont have infinity original only the "china" one, would be $120 everything, if you want to buy just $25 + $10 shipment= $35...
however i got the best chip in the universe DMS4, it cost you $100 + $10 shipment.., i think 30002 uses 400C, but you might have 30002R it is verysion 5 or 6, and uses 400R, why you want to change to C, R is better eventhough is more expensive... I sell R for $60 + $10 shipment...

    Cheers

    Hi

Just a quick question the experts out there may be able to answer.

Looking at getting my PS2 modded but have 3 choice of mod chip.

    Cosmo 1.1
    Subzero2
    DMS4 EZI PRO

Which one in your opinion is the best, most relaiable, easy to use etc...

    Help/question: Ps2 Slimline Laser.

i just brought a new slimline and installed a duo2SE chip and i heard the slimline laser's wear out quicker than the older versions when playing copied games. does anyone know if theres such things as 'laser protector/guard' for sale and where can i get them??

i rather spend some money now to protect my laser instead of paying everytime to fix the laser whenever it wears out.

The duo2 se doesn't work in the v12. You need the subzero fix to stop the laser burning out, modsupplier.com has them but you need a minimum order of 5. Maybe just try a google search.

Lucky you gave evidence to base this on....

The DMS4 is nothing special and for the money its crap. What does the average person get a chip for? To play burnt games! The DMS4 does not really have anything over the cheaper chips such as the subzero that the average user and most other people will find beneficial.

oops just noticed i didn't put jonny's full email on so here it is: sales@cavernimports.com he is jonny of "littlejonny's xbox auto installer" fame and is a console guru. I have seen him do consoles for people as far away as England as his work is well known and well respected.

    Question about Modchip

I just got myself a used (unmodded) SCH-39002, and thinking to put a modchip in it.

My current plan is to put Matrix Infinity. I'm a newbie, so don't know that much about modding... But I assume that Infinity is one of the best out there at the moment?

Funny thing is, 2 of my friend have infinity installed in their PS2, but recently they are starting to have problem (game doesn't play when booting). I wonder is this the nature of infinity or maybe it's just not installed properly or they got fake one?

The main reason I am choosing Infinity (over the cheaper MSduo) is the ease of use (don't have to switch modes when booting), and the stability.
Do you think Infinity is a much better (stable) chip compared to the cheaper duo?

So, for 39002, would my choice of Infinity is the correct one?

I just don't want to install this and it works fine for a month or so and then it will start to play up....

    Thanks in advance!

i dont know all the tech stuff but i do recomend if you want a succesful mod you take it to the pros, lots of guys do their own, or get mates to do them but it only cost you more dough in the long term if they get it wrong. I would rather get the thing done once and done right.and then you get warranty, free software updates etc

I was thinking to take it to Quantronics.
I think they are pro enough? Unless someone can recommend some place in Sydney who is pro-er than them...

Anyway, back to the chip question, I was also thinking about DMS4 Lite, but really, all the options of modchips available are a bit overwhelming for newbie like me.

So it will be either DMS4, Matrix Infinity, or DUO 2 SE. The H20 looks attractive considering the price (from www.quantronics.com.au), but it's not released yet, don't know when it will be available, and as it's a new product, it's not tried and tested yet.

So basically, the most important thing for me is to have my PS2 able to play any types of games I throw in (be it other region, or DVD-9, or backups, etc...) and all region of DVDs, with minimal hassle (auto detect). Other features are not really important.

    What I like about Infinity:
    - auto detect and play ALL types of games/dvds
    - sleep mode feature sounds very neat to me, since it prevent laser damage.
    - (looks like) it's a stable and reliable chip.

And as you said, I don't mind paying a bit extra as long as I can have a reliable mod.

I do notice one thing about quantronics though, why the "professional mod-chip installation" only has 10 days warranty? It kinda sends me the message that they are not really sure whether the installation will last that long...

But yeah, I just want this to be done properly.
