    woot.com in Australia

I was sent this website in an email of "cool websites": http://www.zazz.com.au and was told it was an Aussie version of woot.com (see http://www.woot.com or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woot.com), a website that I've always really liked the idea of. I went on yesterday (their official launch) and found that they were selling pentium 4 whole computer systems for $290! I was so pissed to find that they had already sold out, but what are you gonna do? Anyway, I thought I'd leave the link here.

This seems a little too good to be true. Or a little too true to be good. Either way, I don't need a wireless keyboard. I'll check tomorrow though. Thanks.

I would appear that every product with a 'too good to be true price' has sold out. Would that be a marketing ploy at all???!! Regards Hugh K.

So at 12am each day...they have a different product?

According to the site the computers sold out in three and a half hours!

this seems more likely than a marketing gimmick. wouldn't they want to sell for as long as they can to maximise $$$$$?

i got one (Seagate) from ebay brand new for $179 + $12 shipping about a month ago. (buy it now aswell)

$169+$6 postage is only a saving of around $16 compared to ebay but is still a huge saving if you compare it to the retail price.

The point I was trying to make is that they're prices aren't much better than the other online stores and their whole one item a day things makes them less convenient.

Although its probably a good marketing ploy.
