How dumb are our fed pollies - new copyright laws are now a reality

Watch a show the once and then it must be deleted or in case of a dvd
write once disk it has to be destroyed.

I doubt many will go by tyhat. Can only have been brought in to target
the ones making multiple copies for selling at the markets. If people
really did obey this new law then there would need to be special
dumping grounds made just to store the old tapes, cd's, dvd's etc...
Not very good for the planet.

This is going to be on today tonight on Tuesday.
I'd like to see the polles houses raided first. Put them all in a
locker van and put em away.

whole thing is ****ing ridiculous seeing as theres people selling pirated
movies at Caribbean markets every week & there has been for around the last
3 yrs, & just take a look at all the fake Asian crap on ebay. If the laws
haven't stopped them what effect do they think its going to have on your
    average joe, 0 is what

The chances of that being enforced: think of a snowflake in hell.

By the way, there is NOTHING in the proposed legislation that talks about
auto-deletion by PVRs or a legal requirement to delete or destroy a DVD
yourself. That is all extrapolated speculation.

In reality, such things could never be enforced. And you will never see a
PVR with an "auto-delete" feature in this country (well, aside from
    Fo$tel's money-sucking excuse for a PVR, anyway).

I should have recorded it, burnt it to DVD and watched it 100 times. But
    I'm not into self-flagellation.

I am sure minister Ruddock would have videos in his office or house
that he has recorded. If one MP was arrested then the laws would be
    changed by the following day.

I really can't believe how silly these pollitians get at times.
Most of them are lawyers, maybe they did it so that their mates can
make a lot of money defending the population when it comes up before
    the courts.

    What jury would convict ?

None, because the ordinary person recording shows for themselves, friends
and family will never be prosecuted.
