    Remote Network

I have a laptop at home and have connected to my office network by setting up
a WAN. Can I map or access network drives that are on the office network from
home? I am using XP home edition at home. XP Pro at work. I can use remote
desktop to access my workstation but would rather just use my laptop as a
seperate workstation instead of having to connect to the network and then
    remote desktop connection.

Pretty sure. Just checked the spec on the invoice and it details XP Home
Edition. It does have remote desktop on as I have used it. Can't check the
system as it is at home.

Going home for lunch will check. Does it make a difference to my initial query?

To a certain extent, as the only option in Home edition is Remote
assistance, which is not the same as remote desktop........whether it will
do the same thing, is something I'm not sure of.
