    Channel 9 email addresses

During channel 9's news, I've noticed the email address of the
reporters is appearing under their name during a story. The email
    format seems to be

    firstname.lastname@nine.com.au

I wonder if this applies to all channel nine staff (eddie) or is this
a special mailbox made to make the punters think they can have input
    on the story.

No it doesn't. This goes into a "checking" pool to see whether it should be
sent on to the relevant journo. The direct address is close, but not close
enough to go to them directly.
