virus

Hi.
I have a 7 years computer that I didn't use for the last 4 years because I
had a newer one. Last few days my son started to use my computer so I had to
go back to the old one. I turn it on forgetting that there was no security
software so I got 309 spywares, viruses, etc, etc...I downloaded
Safety.live.com and I have been able to get rid of almost all of them with
the exception of this W32.myzor.fk@yf. I tried torestore the computer to an
earlier time but since I did not use this computer for so long there was no
earlier date to use. I downloaded Window XP with success. Later on, since I
was desperate, I tried to reinstall windoww XP with a CD, NO success.NOW I
cannot even go online, a pop-up says that there is no connection.I tried to
run "check the disk " many times but it cannot finish it because, it says,
there is not enough space, I have 20 GB and is almost all free.I AM
DESPERATE< PLEASE HELP ME.
Remember that I am a complete illiterate in computer lexicon and I am a
foreigner, Italian, so, please use symple therminology, Thank you in advance,

since it is a tiny 20gig hd,
just toss it out and get
a newer, bigger, faster and
empty/clean one.

then try your steps again....

Thank you for answering, I thought about that but unfotunately I lost the
drivers and utilities CD. I do have a very new window XP and drivers CD for
my dell dimension 2350, do you think I could install them on this computer
once I put a new 80 gig HD?

it would seem to be
a reasonable solution.

however, i do not think that
microsoft will let the o.s. get
activated if it was previously
activated on another pc.

remember, that microsoft
has taken a firm position and
created programming to stop
replication of the installation
cd onto multiple pc's.

try this option out first
you can go to microsoft and download something called windows defender its
free and gets rid of all spyware

or you can try this out
you can download spyware search and destroy works pretty much the same way
