Installing SP2 for XP Professional

Right after the files are loaded from the SP2 CD I get the message "ASN1 bag
tag value met" and the installation does not complete.

Hi Robert,

Run the command chkdsk /R from a command prompt. Enter "Y"<enter> to check
on re-boot.
Let the disk be checked (takes awhile) then run SP2 Again. After the 2nd
reboot.

Mite just work...?

Your suggestion did eliminate that particular problem but still could not
install SP2 from the CD. What finally worked was installing the
administrators version of SP2 from the Microsoft web site.
