Awesome show indeed. There are a few pre-air episodes out for season 2, if I'm correct.
Not sure if I have mentioned this already, but definitely give Burn Notice a go if you liked Dexter.

There's a 17 minute preview of Prison Break doing it's rounds on the net. Not sure if it is the first part of the first episode but it definitely continues from the scene where season 2 left off. This mini-preview gives us a great insight to what will happen in season 3.

Watchie, if you liked Survivor, you may give Pirate Master a go. Andrew (or Cameron) Daddo is the presenter. The pirate theme is kind of lame but it is actually good viewing.

Not sure if you guys like magic, but Criss Angel: Mindfreak, is a show that regularly blows my mind.

Others I have downloaded include The Kill Point, Mad Men, Damages, Saving Grace and Human Weapon , but I haven't watched them yet, so can't give a real idea whether they are really good or not.

Damn, I'm going ot be capped next month, with all big shows returning.....

I just saw Channel 10 advertising Burn Notice, coming soon Tuesday nights. Definitely worth a watch.

I'll definitely check it out, but I just know that channel 10 will screw up its scheduling somehow.

I don't think they even broadcast the last three eps of Life season 1.It just kind of dropped off the radar

    For good reason, mind.

I probably would've gotten into it if it wasn't in that timeslot. There was always something else better on.

I noticed the other day as well on an ad for Ten HD there was a clip from Friday Night Lights. Not sure if they have started showing it yet (since I don't have HD) but if they are going to show it, it is possibly one of the best TV shows of the year for me. Even though I couldn't give a toss about American Football, it has great story lines in it.

Rather than start a new thread I thought I would resurrect this old one.

There has been lots of comings and goings with shows being picked up/renewed/cancelled in the US over the last week or two.

For a great breakdown, visit the following:

    http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/04/...v-cheat-s.html

I'm bummed that Pushing Daisies, Terminator, Earl, and Reaper have all been axed.

But on the flip side, I'm happy that Castle, Chuck, and Dollhouse have all been granted further seasons

Aww as if Earl got cancelled
And I'm also annoyed that Scrubs got renewed. Don't get me wrong, it's my favourite show of all time but season 8 was supposed to be the last and they ended it extremely well. Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke are only doing 6 eps in season 9.

Also, for 'what's next' the new season of Entourage starts on June 28th I think

i loooove dollhouse. stoked its up for another season.

i liked Life but oh well i guess i was watching too much anyway

also i dont get how the channels in Aus always seem to pick up the shows which get axed .. and the shows that are going really well never get picked up .. or get showed at odd times at night. what is wrong with them ?

    For me -
    The good:
Castle, Chuck, and Dollhouse all renewed

    The bad:

The Unit, Life, Earl and Reaper have all been axed.

Breaking Bad is easily the best show on atm.Just about every episode has been a knockout in season 2.

I have high hopes for the second helping of True Blood as it's debut season was just brilliant. For those that missed it they have a chance to watch it soon in not only all it's HD glory but DTS MA audio to boot

Have perused the list of new shows for the coming season. If anyone is interested here is what the highlights for me are.

Eastwick. Based on the movie Witches of Eastwick, which would in itself be enough to interest me. But the addition of Matt Dallas (Kyle from Kyle XY) and the delicious Rebecca Romijn to the cast make it a sure thing.

Flash Forward. The premise for this show intrigues me.

Human Target. Based on a DC Comics comic this has been tried as a TV series once before (starring Australia's own RICK SPRINGFIELD). Might work, but I don't like the lead actor.

    V. Loved the original. Love Morena Baccarin and Alan Tudyk. I'll be hoping for this one to succeed.

Community. Love Chevy Chase. Thought he was great recently in Chuck. Will give this one a chance.

Mercy. Mad about Michelle Trachtenberg. Will be good to see her on TV again.

Day One. Interesting premise. Might give it a watch.

The Vampire Diaries. Always up for some vampire action. Ian Somerhalder (Boone from Lost) stars, which is sure to attract some female viewers.

Dexter is the only one that I consistently find I am unable to miss and episode at the moment- best series for me!

Does anyone know if HBO is still going ahead with a tv series of George RR Martins ice and fire books- that would be incredible?

Just answered my own question with a good old google search - check this out

    http://geeksofdoom.com/2009/07/21/se...me-of-thrones/

I cant believe they are casting Sean Bean in the role of Eddard Stark- he's one of my favourite actors- oh I hope this goes past the pilot!
