Folder appears in blue text on windows explorer files display

recently i noticed that on my windows explorer (I am using XP with SP2) C
drive appear in blue text, while all other files / drives / folders on the
left pane (explorer bar) are in standard black text. I am concerned if this
is an indication of some error or a bug or what?? can someone help me.

To display encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color
Open Folder Options in Control Panel.
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
    Double-click Folder Options.
On the View tab, select the Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color
    check box.

Yes, in spite of hiding the color, you are still using a compressed C drive.
It could be undone with a rightclick on the drive icon, Properties, uncheck
    box for compression.

thanks it did clear the color. I am not too savvy with this stuff (i just
know how to make use of it), hope that this does not cause any troubles. I
recollect that I was trying to compress c: to recover some space, maybe that
is the reason it happened- am i right in my assumption??
