Hobart Tas? No sorry. Best option would be to order your own chip and get a mate to solder it up.

I'm from up Launceston but can ask around for you.

I got my XBox 360 chipped last weekend, and when I put in *ahem* a backed up game it didn't read it. A message came up that said something like... this disk need to be played in an xBox 360 (duh). The same disk works fine in my sons chipped xBox. Is it just a stuffed chip?

Either that or the connections were not soldered properly. Just an idea, why don't you swap with your son?

Not sure how easy it is to get to Victoria from hobart but if you goto kangamail.com i think a guy named Rob runs the site.

He sells a heap of chips, and is located somewhere near melbourne so maybe you could make a day trip of it.

If not just order the chip get the diagrams and find a friend who knows how to solder

Heh I'm sure he would appreciate that. I took it back to the chipper -- turns out the xbox was never opened. One of the guys in the store thought the other one had done it and vice versa. So the did the job and it's all good.
