    Switch between SATA drives?

I have 2 SATA drives in my PC that I would like to alternately boot
from. I have XP / Ubuntu on one drive and would like to run Solaris
    on the other.

I think all that's really needed is on/off switches
for the power cables, or maybe a some kind of DPDT switch.

Anyone know of any after market parts available, preferably with a front
    panel switch?

    Thanks

There is lots of software around that can give you a menu of boot
partitions each time your rebooot. the Grub software that came with
your Ubantu should brobably be able to do it.

Don't blame me. I voted for Gore. Proudly then, even more so in hindsight.

If you are trying to learn these systems, it is best to
just install one and learn it. Your dual boot with Ubuntu
is going to crash, or go flakey in a few weeks, and
Solaris is a has been OS if there ever was one. In my
case, I have two SATA drives, and I just open the box
and move the connections to the "other" drive for a time.
Keeps me on the job long enough to learn or evaluate
and make a decision ... like XP to Vista which I'm going
to eval for drivers and compatibility until I determine that
Vista is a good move ( or not ).
