I fired up Quake III again after a while away and went hunting for on-line multiplayer games. Good game to get the adrenalin going. I'm a bit rusty, got my butt fragged every which way to Sunday at first but came back with a vengeance

It's not an optical illusion. It just looks like one.
Been playing some NRL Rugby League on the x-box.
At Round 26 after coming in from a Round 22 save, half way through the game and the bastard freezes on me.
Luckily I was having a good season so could forfeit the 4 games again and still make the semi's only to lose the grand final in a terrible performance from myself. Collapsed under pressure. Now another season to unlock the S of O options. ( I refuse to use a cheat or play a season on piss weak difficulty level)
Playing Champions of Norath on the PS2 whenever I go over to my brother's place. Great game.
Also played Demon Stone the other night because he just bought it. Not bad, but a bit simplistic. Kinda seems like Atari spent all their money getting Patric Stewart to do voice acting, and R.A. Salvatore to do the story and left bugger-all budget to program a decent game!
The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.

EXHUMED on PS1. What a great game!!! I love this Egyptian style FPV. So many secrets! I love it!
Been playing (a lot of) Burnout 3 on the PS2. Apart from a brilliant soundtrack (I've turned the music volume to full and the SFX to about half so I can enjoy it more ) it's a hell of a game.
The "Takedown" aspect, under which a primary aim of the game is now to take out your opponents (computer or human), is brilliant. It was always fantastic fun when you could (rarely) manage to pull it off in Burnout 1 & 2, but it's now easier to do and the glory and recognition which you deserve are granted (in the form of a serious gain to your boost).
The only negative I can find is the crash mode. While it's still great fun, and with 100 crash zones much more expansive, they have turned it into a game of too much skill. The addition of pickups, and "aftertouch" which allows you to slightly control the direction of your wreck after the initial crash, certainly increases the interest of crashes to the addicted player, and I quite enjoy these "planned" crashes.
However the crash mode in Burnout 2 was the best game I've ever seen to unite everyone around a system. The complete lack of skill involved allowed for those who had never touched a console in their lives to compete with those who had played the game for months on an almost level playing field. Many times we had great fun firing it up for a great group game of mayhem, destruction and unpredictability.
Unfortunately I can't see Burnout 3 filling these particular shoes. Surely it would have been easy to implement though - even a simple on/off toggle for "bonuses" would do the trick. I guess I'll have to hold on to #2 for this purpose, which is a shame as Burnout 2 doesn't allow you to take the Bus or Fire Engine in for the crash.
Oh wait, there is another negative - the lack of cars available in yellow. For some reason yellow has always been my favourite colour to crash through traffic in, but this game only offers yellow on a select few models. A great game guys, but next time... think more yellow!
